How do employers’ liability insurance claims occur?

An employee sues their employer for what they allege is a work-related illness or injury.

The compensation amount may take into account things like medical costs and lost income.

In many circumstances this also extends to former employees.

Examples of Claims

A former warehouse employee may submit a claim after leaving the job alleging that they sustained an injury when manually lifting a box of parts from the store racking as part of their day to day duties.

An office worker is badly injured when they trip over a cable running across the floor.

A manual employee sues his employer after sustaining a serious cut to his finger whilst using a sharp knife in the Goods in Area of the Warehouse when unpacking a pallet of stock.
